Tim Gifford serves as the Chief Innovation Officer and Software Delivery Consultant for Lean Techniques, Inc. in Des Moines, Iowa. As the CIO he works to create a culture of creativity, curiosity and humility for the 70+ team members.
As a Software Delivery Consultant, he works with companies ranging in size from startups to Fortune 100 businesses to transform their digital services from a cost center to a competitive advantage.
Tim remains active in the Iowa technology community. He co-founded Agile Iowa in 2004 and has served as an organizer for the dsmAgile conference since 2014. In 2018, he co-founded DevOpsDays Des Moines and is honored to be serving as its President.
Lisa Schaefer is an Edutainer, Counselor and College Instructor. She owns Shine with Schaefer, a coaching and consulting business that focuses on developing leadership skills in both employees and students. Lisa graduated from University of Wisconsin with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She is a founding member of the John Maxwell Leadership Team and has presented trainings to over 100 different companies in the nation on the Maxwell Philosophy of Leadership and Service. Lisa served as President of the Women’s Leadership Network in Dubuque, IA, is a member of the National Speakers Association and American Talent Development Professionals. Her past experiences include customer service positions including working for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, educational leadership roles and executive coaching roles with Human Resource Departments. She brings high energy to the classroom and uses entertainment techniques to educate. Her goal is to help people SHINE by sharing strengths, having heart, innovating, networking and empowering others.

When the Dummies series called, she co-authored her third bestseller, Business Storytelling for Dummies, solidifying her as a
thought leader in the field.
One chapter blossomed into a unique framework for finding actionable insights in data and storifying them. This, combined with earlier experiences
consulting to Chevron, Valmet, Rhone Poulenc, the U.S. Air Force Reserves, and others, on shifting enterprise culture to embed data into
decision-making, grew her prominence in these areas.
As the CEO/founder of Partners for Progress®, Lori helps firms strategize about their future and navigate through messy, complex change. She’s worked across 25 industries, with companies like Wells Fargo Home Mortage, McDonalds, Target, American Family Insurance, GE, and Phillips North America. As a keynote speaker at more than 90 events (including PM/BA events in Toronto, Vancouver, Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia), Lori’s inspired thousands to take action. She’s an adjunct professor in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology (I/O) Master’s program at Golden Gate University teaching the only I/O course in the world on strategic thinking. She’s also authored two books in the quality management field.
